Appointment Pool
Can you make our school sparkle?
Fremantle College is seeking to establish a pool of Cleaner’s for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2019 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2020. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2019 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2020.
There is currently 1x 0.16FTE Permanent position available at the school.
We are seeking applicants with effective communication skills as you will be required to read cleaning product instructions. As the Cleaner you will carry out internal and external cleaning duties including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet/shower cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal and other items of general cleaning. The successful applicant will also carry out vacation cleaning duties, including the stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas and other such duties as required by the Cleaner-In-Charge. Ideally you will have completed relevant on-line professional learning courses including Induction, Manual Handling and Hazardous Substances. Other professional learning attended would be an advantage

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a ten (10) day breach period to this selection process.
