This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, part-time (0.7FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2020 with possible extension and/or permanency.
Connolly Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Science Teacher to join our friendly team.
We are looking for a suitably qualified person who is innovative and passionate about science, demonstrating a sound understanding of all the key elements of the Western Australian Science Curriculum. The appointed person will deliver a hands on program that excites our students and have an interest in coding and robotics.
Connolly Primary School is a Teacher Development School for Digital Technologies through the Innovation and Participation Program for the last 2 years. There is an opportunity for the appointed teacher to work closely with the digital technology team.
The school uses the Seesaw platform for both workflow and communication. This is a whole school approach so experience in this area is desirable. Training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Connolly Primary School is an Independent Public School; it was established in 1991 and is located approximately 25 kilometres north of Perth, close to the Joondalup Golf Course. The school provides educational services to students from Kindergarten to Year Six, with an enrolment of approximately 400 students. The school population includes enrolments from the suburbs of Connolly and Joondalup North. Some 63% of the students come from suburbs outside the school boundary, attracted by the school's reputation as a quality provider of education.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
