Appointment Pool
Busselton Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and experienced Science Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
Suitable applicants must be highly motivated; student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. Science Teachers will utilise innovative strategies and be able to work effectively within a dynamic team. Ideally, suitable applicants will be able to reflect and assess the effectiveness of their teaching practices and cultivate a safe learning environment. With effective interpersonal skills, these teachers will work closely with students, teachers and the community to instil our school values of Respect, Empathy, Achievement and Learning, allowing students to achieve to their full potential.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
