This is a permanent part-time (0.75FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2020
Bull Creek Primary School (PS) is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Cleaner In Charge, who is able to lead other cleaners to establish and maintain a high standard of cleaning within the School.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to be an effective team leader, whilst being responsible for organising and supervising other school cleaners, including arranging relief staff, job inductions for new staff, and liaising with the relevant line manager on cleaning matters.
As the Cleaner In Charge you will have competency in using cleaning equipment and other machinery.
Bull Creek PS was established in 1975 and became an Independent Public School in 2014. Our facilities include a Library Resource Centre, Pre Primary Centre (4 units), Music, Science/Art room, canteen, an amenities building, under cover areas, netball courts and the school oval is adjacent to John Creaney Park. We cater for students starting at Kindergarten through to Year six.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process
