Appointment Pool
Are you a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who wants to make a positive difference in an Independent Public School?
Shenton College is seeking to establish a pool of English Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2020. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2020.
The successful applicant will be highly effective in engaging and motivating students and managing an appropriate learning environment. They would also possess superior interpersonal skills and work closely with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for our students. The successful applicant would work as part of a dedicated team to develop, review and deliver Science curriculum, with a view to teaching senior students as the school expands over the coming years. They would have strong teaching and classroom management skills, and will be able to develop good relationships with all students and engage them in effective learning.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
