Armadale Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Upper Primary School Teacher to join their school. The successful applicant will work to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes for students through whole school approaches and explicit instruction.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated applicant who possess exemplary teaching skills. Applicants will desirably have the ability to work in an environment characterised by whole school connected practice, a strong commitment to professional growth and collaborative team structures.
The successful applicant will establish strong, positive and productive relationships with students, peers and the wider school community. Interpersonal skills will be required to work collaboratively with staff members and implement whole school approaches within the school’s business and operational plans.
Armadale PS is an Independent Public School, catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6, located in Bedfordale. Our staff strongly believe in building a positive school culture with a focus on whole school initiatives and practices to support and reinforce positive behaviours. We create a learning environment which is challenging and caring, catering for the range of needs to ensure all students achieve their potential.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;

- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
