Appointment Pool

We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
Suitable applicants will be passionate about teaching and able to work collaboratively as part of a team and be prepared to put in the extra effort. They will be highly competent integrating Infomation Computer Technology (ICT) into their teaching and learning programs. In addition, we require applicants who are willing to engage in self-reflection, observation and feedback practices to develop their understanding of our whole school programs and pedagogy.
Every day in every classroom, every student is learning and achieving. Duncraig Primary School (PS) is an independent public school, located in the northern suburbs, 18 kilometres from Perth city. Established in 1973, Duncraig PS became an independent public school in 2011. The school has an enrolment of approximately 420 students, catering for children from kindergarten to Year 6.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
