Appointment Pool
Neerigen Brook Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of experienced and engaging Early Childhood Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2019 and 2020 school years. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements up until the end of Term 4, 2020.
Suitable applicants will be highly motivated and dedicated to raising literacy and numeracy achievement, as well as social and emotional skills, through the effective use of whole-school approaches, explicit teaching and a commitment to the National Quality Standards. As an Early Childhood Teacher at Neerigen Brook PS you will be involved in developing effective early childhood programs across Kindergarten to Year 2.
Suitable applicants will have a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. They will need to be an active member of a supportive team, maximising the learning opportunities for students, collaborating with their colleagues and integrating technology into the learning program. Working with the community and engaging parents in the learning programs is a key focus, with our Early Childhood Programs catering for children from playgroup, through to Year 6.
It is highly desirable that applicants can demonstrate a proactive approach to student engagement and behaviour, comprising individualised planning for some children, while utilising consistent low key classroom management strategies.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
