Ridge View Secondary College (SC) is an Independent Public School (IPS) seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly competent and enthusiastic Music teacher with excellent interpersonal skills.

The successful applicant will have outstanding interpersonal skills with a natural ability to communicate and relate to parents, students and staff members. You will be highly organised and have good communication skills in order to lead a number of whole school events and activities such as; school participation in music festivals and concerts; whole school assemblies and ceremonies and coordinate musical instruments and equipment accordingly. It is highly desirable for the successful applicant to have experience in the Technologies learning area, in particular Home Economics and Design and Technology, as this will be a component of the FTE in the initial years.
Ridge View SC is a new school that has opened in 2019. The college opened with Year 7 students and will grow a cohort each year until it reaches capacity in 2024 with Years 7-12. As a foundation staff member, you will have an opportunity to support and foster positive college culture, as well as promoting the college motto of “Believe, Aspire, Pride”.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
