Appointment Pool
We are seeking to establish a pool of committed and dedicated Cleaners for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2019 and up to the end of Term 3, 2020. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2019 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2020.
Cleaners play a vital function ensuring that the school is clean and provide a safe and hygienic environment for our staff, students and community members.
As a Cleaner you will carry out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other items of general cleaning. In addition to this, you would also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs, other general cleaning and other such duties as required by the Cleaner-In-Charge.
Suitable applicants will have effective communication skills for reading cleaning product instructions and to help develop and maintain good working relationships with school staff.
Yanchep Lagoon Primary School, located in one of the fastest growing regions in Western Australia, caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
