Appointment Pool

Harmony Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and hard-working Cleaners for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2019 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2020. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2019 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2020.
As Cleaner, your responsibilities will include cleaning of toilets, windows, furniture and fittings, internal maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, dusting, rubbish removal and other items of general cleaning. In addition, you will also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, drinking troughs, and windows, the removal of cobwebs, rubbish disposal, general cleaning and other such duties as required by the Cleaner-In-Charge.
Harmony PS commenced 2004 and is an Independent Public School located south of Perth in the housing estate of Harvest Lakes in southern Atwell. The school currently caters for approximately 575 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
