Beverley District High School (DHS) is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Manager Corporate Services.
The role of the Manager Corporate Services is to ensure effective financial management of the school’s business operations and to provide high level advice and leadership to make sure that student success and opportunity is maximised through the delivery of planning, budgeting and reporting, while ensuring compliance with Departmental and legislative requirements.
The ideal applicant will be an experienced manager who can play an integral role in the school’s leadership team. You should be a strategic thinker with the capacity to provide innovative leadership for the development of business systems and service provision. You will also possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise within the areas of responsibility. ICT skills and solid leadership knowledge of financial systems would be highly beneficial.
In this role you will be responsible for the provision of high level management for the school support staff and the development of effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. In collaboration with the Principal and Leadership team, you will provide operational input to the development of the school’s workforce and business plans and oversee and report on the school’s financial performance.
Beverley DHS is a small school of around 150 students in a vibrant community situated around 90 minutes from the outskirts of Perth. Our families live in town or on farms or hobby blocks in surrounding areas. The community is very active in arts and sports, and is friendly and welcoming. Our school is an Independent Public School and we work closely with the community to ensure that the school is sustainable, supportive and successful.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the application of customer service principles and practices.
- relevant financial management skills, including input into budget preparation and the ability to apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
- ability to implement and monitor business and/or marketing plans.
- conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
