Newman Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2019 and 2020 school years. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements up to the end of Term 4, 2020.

The successful applicant will demonstrate exemplary teaching skills, be highly motivated and enthusiastic. Applicants will have the ability to work in an environment characterised by whole school connected practice, a strong commitment to professional growth and collaborative team structures. To be successful for this role, you will possess a high level of interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff members and implement whole school approaches within the school’s business and operational plans. Knowledge of InitiaLit, Sound Waves, Dr Paul Swan Numeracy Blocks and First Steps Mathematics would be highly desirable.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
