Appointment Pool
Are you a talented educator skilled at adjusting your teaching strategies and programs to meet the individual and diverse needs of students?
Australind Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of English Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
Suitable applicants need to possess excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills and promote an environment of active and positive learning. You will be required to work closely with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students within a vibrant and collaborative English Department. Teachers will be expected to teach lower and upper secondary classes. The capacity to teach ATAR English is desirable.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
