Kyilla Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner in Charge (AM Shift) to appoint as a valuable addition to their friendly team.
As a Cleaner in Charge you will be responsible for opening and closing the school, carrying out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other items of general cleaning. The suitable applicant will carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs, other general cleaning and other such duties as required. You will be required to complete vacation cleaning duties, which may include the stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas, and other such duties as required.
Additionally, the suitable applicant will organise and supervise cleaning staff and oversee the cleaner’s time-book, report absences, arrange relief staff and ensure leave and allowance forms are completed correctly. You will be responsible for the ordering and stocktake of cleaning products and regular maintenance of cleaning equipment. As Cleaner In Charge, you will liaise with the Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters and provide on the job induction training for new cleaning staff.
Kyilla PS is an Independent Public School situated in North Perth and provides excellent facilities for teaching and learning. Our school has approximately 360 students enrolled and in the past five years this number has been steadily increasing. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process
