Tuart Forest PS is an Independent Public School located in Dalyellup near Bunbury. It is a modern, state of the art facility which opened in 2013 for students in Kindergarten to Year 6. Our current student entolment is at 500 students
Tuart Forest PS is a school where children are at the forefront of everything we do. We value the whole child and believe children have a voice that should be heard. We believe in the importance of addressing both the academic needs and social emotional well-being of our students.
In 2019, Tuart Forest PS developed a partnership with Dalyellup College and The Fogarty Foundation. This has resulted in a clear plan for improvement. Teacher professional learning is an important part of our plan and we have committed to working with Teach Well in order to develop the skills and knowledge required to improve student learning at our school. Teachers with a skill set around explicit direct instruction are encouraged to apply, as are teachers with a strong commitment to developing this skill set.
At Tuart Forest we believe in the importance of consistency. All staff wear our uniform to work and all staff engage with agreed programs and methodology. Our school timetable looks a little different to many schools, so a degree of open mindedness and flexibility will be beneficial. All students from Year 3 to 6 have their own school provided Chromebook so experience in using these devices would be advantageous. More importantly is the willingness to engage in learning how to implement ICT into the curriculum.
Tuart Forest has a Community Garden located on site. Students visit the garden regularly as part of our playtime activties that run every day. The school also has a high number of students who are supported in their learning, therefore experience in working with education assistants and curriculum differentiation would be highly advantageous.
