East Wanneroo Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of highly experienced, committed and enthusiastic Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
Suitable applicants should address the context of the school and provide evidence of successful collaborative teaching and working effectively with others. You will be working as part of a learning team, and this is of high importance.
A working knowledge of implementing and managing flexible learning areas to support our collaborative approach to teaching and learning is essential. You will need strong behaviour management skills as you may be working across a number of classes as well as working knowledge and experience teaching Oxford Maths, Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar, as they are whole school programs.
Experience using technologies including interactive whiteboards and integration of iPads within teaching programs is required. Digital technologies and digital workflow is also a strong focus for the school and a practical knowledge and experience in this area would be highly desirable. Implementation of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework and EALD progress maps is required to support our students with aboriginal and multicultural backgrounds.
East Wanneroo PS is an Independent Public School catering for approximately 400 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school is noted for its strong collaborative literacy and numeracy programs with each student's learning needs tailored to their level of development. Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
