Do you have the passion for teaching?
Leeming Senior High School is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and proactive Humanities and Social Science (HASS) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
We are seeking suitably qualified teachers that are student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively in team environments.
Applicants will possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills that will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. They will work effectively in a team environment as well as demonstrate quality teaching that enables students to achieve their potential. Suitable applicants will work closely with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students in the classroom and extra-curricular contexts.
Suitable applicants will be confident in teaching students across Years 7 to 12 and delivery of ATAR HASS courses and ATAR Psychology is desirable. You will demonstrate the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant secondary school curriculum.
As a skilled and experienced teacher you will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and engage in regular self-reflection. Another key attribute will be the ability to create environments conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are purposeful and relevant, catering for different student learning needs.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
