Appointment Pool
Are you a dedicated, enthusiastic and creative team player?
Esperance Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of highly motivated, innovative and student-centred teachers from Kindergarten to Year 6 for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Placements can be made from the pool at any time from the commencement of the 2020 school year.
We are seeking team orientated, highly collaborative and passionate teachers who possess high level interpersonal skills to establish strong and lasting rapport with students, parents, colleagues and the community.
Suitable applicants will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the implementation of whole school approaches in literacy and numeracy. Applicants will have a thorough knowledge and application of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to provide evidence of this in their teaching and learning. Experience in using the Talk for Writing approach will be an advantage, and all applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to differentiate curriculum delivery to meet every child’s needs. A willingness to embrace innovation, and incorporate the skills of the 21st century learner within their everyday pedagogy will be highly valued. We are a BYOD school from Years 4-6 and evidence of the ability to integrate digital technology in everyday teaching and learning will be an advantage. Additionally, staff often embrace additional responsibilities beyond their classroom, with regular opportunities to lead staff through a distributed leadership model in our school.
Esperance PS was established 1956 and became an Independent Public School in 2010. Our current enrolments are approximately 482 students with mainly double streamed classes from Kindergarten to Year 6.
At Esperance PS, our vision of Inspiring Personal Excellence is a guiding principle that underpins our school’s operations and our staff continually strive to meet the needs and interests of our students. Critical and creative thinking is valued, with Students at Educational Risk (SAER) programs complimenting class learning experiences. A highly regarded Primary Extension and Academic Challenge (PEAC) program provides enrichment for gifted and talented students. We value our parents and carers as partners and encourage their support in our collaborative, mutually respectful learning and teaching environment.
