Appointment Pool
Are you a positive and talented teacher who strives to enhance their student’s educational outcomes?
Australind Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of Mathematics Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.

To be suitable in this role, you will self-reflect and assess the effectiveness of your teaching practice, promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential. You will have the capacity to deliver highly engaging programs that are relevant to Year 7 to 12 students' needs and highly effective interpersonal skills that enable you to work successfully with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students.
Suitable applicants will be able to successfully demonstrate capacity to teach ATAR courses, including previous experience or qualifications teaching Year 11 or 12 Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialist and Mathematics Applications. You will also be able to successfully demonstrate your ability to implement differentiated teaching practice within the classroom and the application of skills and strategies that support the development of Numeracy across lower school classes and into the Vocational pathway.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
