Ridge View Secondary College and Coastal Lakes College are Independent Public Schools (IPS) seeking to appoint dedicated, highly competent and enthusiastic Science teachers with excellent interpersonal skills. Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to develop innovative classroom practices utilising the college’s cutting edge IT infrastructure to provide integrated, personalised and authentic learning experiences for students. A commitment to the college’s emphasis on pastoral care and co-curricular programs will be essential as well as active promotion of the college’s vision, motto and values within the college and the wider community.
Ridge View Secondary College is a new and distinctive secondary college with state of the art facilities located in South Baldivis. The college opened in 2019 and will cater for students in Year 7 and 8 in 2020. By 2024 the college will cater for students in Years 7-12.
Coastal Lakes College located in Lakelands, a south western suburb of Perth in the City of Mandurah, opened in 2019 and will cater for students in Year 7 and 8 in 2020. It is a new and innovative college which includes an Inclusive Education hub for students with moderate to severe and profound disabilities and will cater for students in Years 7-12 by 2024 across the college. All successful applicants to Coastal Lakes College may potentially teach Inclusive Education students within their learning area.
Applicants should note that this is a singular process with one panel, therefore only one written application is required if you wish to be considered for both positions. When an application is submitted you will be prompted to select a preference for a single college or both, in order. Feedback will be provided by the Panel Chair for both positions.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
