Braeside Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teacher to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will be highly professional and possess outstanding interpersonal skills. They will pursue excellence in classroom teaching and build supportive, connected relationships with their students using the schools Positive Behaviour Support program. They will foster and deliver school based programs that are crucial elements of the Literacy and Numeracy block structures. To be successful in this position you will be highly organised and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Additionally, you will have knowledge and experience of data analysis and case management processes, giving you the ability to make student academic achievement the core of your work. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and a commitment to working with parents and the wider community is a key element of this role.

We are situated in the town of Katanning, in the central great southern region of WA. With a population of approximately 4 500, Katanning is the centre of a successful grain and sheep farming area.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
