Pearsall Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join their team.
As the successful applicant you should be able to demonstrate strong classroom management skills that engage all students successfully at a high level. You will be motivated, practical, hard-working, innovative, and possess outstanding interpersonal skills.
As a Primary Teacher, you should have a strong work ethic and a deep knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum Outline and you will have a total commitment to the role, and a willingness to show leadership and initiative.
The successful applicant should be proactive in participating in whole school, and phase planning and curriculum development and should be able to demonstrate an exceptionally high level of collaborative practice together with interpersonal skills to enable effective participation and engagement within a digitally orientated school.

Located in the suburb of Pearsall, in the Northern suburbs of Perth, the school is an Independent Public School catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. It has well-resourced classrooms equipped with the latest in technology to facilitate student learning and also boasts extensive play areas, hard courts for tennis, basketball and netball, and cricket nets as well as fitness play equipment around the school.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
