WA College of Agriculture – Morawa are seeking to appoint a hardworking and motivated Agricultural Instruction Technical Officer specialising in livestock cattle or sheep to join their friendly team.
This position requires someone who is passionate about working with young adults in an agricultural education environment, specialising in cattle handling or sheep husbandry, shearing and wool handling. Experience in agricultural fencing is also desirable. A sound knowledge of agricultural machinery operations relating to broad acre cropping and basic servicing would also be an advantage to the successful applicant.
Applicants will be required to have or gain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment within 12 months and also gain a Certificate III in Agriculture within 24 months.
The Technical Officer – Agricultural Instruction is directly involved in day-to-day operation of the farm enterprises and the implementation of the farm development plan. The successful applicant maintains enterprises on the farm which will include livestock management. The successful applicant assists in the preparation and delivery of agricultural education and training programs and assists with the instruction and supervision of groups of students in a workplace environment.
Western Australian College of Agriculture - Morawa has a catchment area that covers most of the State. Most of our students are from regions north of the metropolitan area, some from as far north as Tom Price, Port Hedland and even Kununurra. The majority of our students have an interest in broad acre cropping and animal husbandry as well as trades related to the automotive and construction industries. Students also matriculate from this college to Curtin University Muresk campus.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

Applicants may be able to commence at a L2.1 or L3.1 if suitably qualified or with requisite experience.
Level 2, $61,172 - $66,256 per annum (PSGO CSA GA 2017)
Level 3, $69,896 - $75,717 per annum (PSGO CSA GA 2017)
