About the Role
One of the principle objectives of Main Roads Western Australia is to manage traffic operations on the state road network to provide safe, efficient and reliable journeys. Access to accurate traffic data (historic, current, predictive and analytic) is critical in order to achieve this goal. The Network Operations Analysis Branch continuously manages the collection, fusion and analysis of traffic data to report and forecast on our road network performance.
A core function of the branch is to assist Route and Area Managers make data driven, informed decisions to prioritise projects, by considering local returns on investment, impacts on safety and network performance. The Branch also implements and maintains data systems to inform traffic congestion decision-making as well as analysis and reporting of network performance within Main Roads and the wider transport portfolio
About You
It is essential you have substantial skill, knowledge and experience in technical data analysis and reporting, data collection, complex databases and model development, mathematical modelling and operational research are also critical to being successful in this role.
Your ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships and to be able to have influence and to drive strategic corporate outcomes is critical to the success of this role. You will need to be able to confidently deliver technical presentations and provide information to a variety of groups and individuals.
