The Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, housing, youth justice, community initiatives and regional services reform.
The Department of Communities will relocate its head office to the new purpose-built Kings Square, Fremantle, that is set to accommodate 1500 State Government employees. This move is currently scheduled for April 2020.
The Opportunity
This is a permanent, part time (45 hrs per fortnight) opportunity.
The Education Officer is responsible for providing education services for children who come under the care of, or to the attention of the Department by developing and maintaining education programs and supports to children, schools, carers and/or families.
As an Education Officer you will consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and provide educational and social skill development to children, families and caregivers as appropriate.
