Appointment Pool
We are looking innovative and committed teachers.
Karrinyup Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2019 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2019 school year.
To be suitable for this role you will have strong interpersonal skills, knowledge on curriculum, sound teaching strategies and strong written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) will be highly regarded. Suitable applicants will be flexible as the role may require that work be performed in different fractions and or in job-share arrangement. In addition to this, the ability to utilise Information and Communications Technology (ICT) into their classroom program will be beneficial.
Karrinyup PS aims to provide a learning environment that inspires children to achieve to their full academic, creative, social and physical potential. Staff work collaboratively in Professional Learning Teams to plan outcomes for students, with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy. We believe that quality teaching and learning programs will enable our students to develop the necessary skills to become confident and independent learners.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
