Job Description
The Forensic Science Laboratory provides crime scene, analytical, consultant and expert evidence services to law enforcement agencies, the Coroner and the public in the areas of chemical and physical trace evidence, drugs and toxicology.
The Forensic Chemistry Section is looking for enthusiastic people with the following attributes:
- A degree or higher qualification in a relevant science.
- The ability to demonstrate scientific knowledge relevant to organic analytical chemistry.
- Effective written and verbal skills sufficient to prepare reports and deliver expert testimony in court.
- An understanding of commercial principles for scientific service delivery.
- Ability to work as part of a busy team and willing and able to work within and contribute to the team.
- An understanding of Laboratory Safety.
