About the role
Web Development skills are delivered from Certificate III to Diploma levels. Delivery takes place mainly on the Thornlie campus with some delivery at Rockingham, Peel and Etech/Fremantle.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have demonstrated knowledge and experience in web development by implementing websites for organisations and industry which enable you to deliver training in these: user experience design; simple and complex cascading styles sheets; content management systems; client and server side scripting, dynamic web pages and websites, database integration into a website. Current industry practices and the use of current technologies are important. Because of the likely nature of the lecturing assignment it is expected that the lecturer has a relevant academic qualification to at least TAFE Diploma level.
Lecturers deliver training in face-to-face and flexible modes. Experience with Moodle, Blackboard or similar online learning/training tools as well as experience in developing digital content for learning would be highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment is strongly recommended as all lecturers are required to work together to develop course material.
Applicants who hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Enterprise Trainer and assessor Skill Set or Enterprise Trainer - Presenting Skill Set may be considered highly competitive.
