We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Travel Coordinator to join our corporate team and support the seamless planning and execution of travel arrangements.
The successful applicant should have strong organisational skills and be able to work well under pressure to coordinate all travel-related responsibilities for the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) in a timely manner. The Travel Coordinator is responsible for organising and managing all staff travel arrangements in accordance with Government, System Manager, and SMHS policies, ensuring compliance for both interstate and overseas travel. This involves liaising with hospital staff and government-appointed travel agencies to coordinate bookings, payments, and travel logistics for all SMHS staff, whilst adhering to relevant policies and legislation. This role is also responsible for coordinating travel associated with the Statewide Voluntary Assisted Dying Program and SMHS patient transport, both which require urgent prioritisation when these requests are received. Additionally, the Travel Coordinator produces monthly and quarterly travel reports for the Minister of Health, maintains accurate recordkeeping for travel-related arrangements and prepares official correspondence on behalf of SMHS for sponsorship-related travel.
