The Role

We are seeking primary teachers with exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build genuine relationships with students, families and colleagues. As a teacher at Tapping PS you would promptly establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, setting high expectations and nurturing students' social and emotional development alongside their learning. We are building a shared, connected way of teaching from Kindergarten to Year 6, and we are looking for teachers who embrace whole-school approaches and display a commitment to low-variance, evidence-based practice aligned with the Department's Quality Teaching Strategy and Teaching for Impact framework.

Suitable applicants would thrive in a culture of connected practice, working collaboratively within data-informed teams to plan, implement and refine high-impact teaching strategies in literacy and numeracy. Ideally you would be a reflective and highly effective educator with a strong motivation to grow. Our commitment to instructional coaching means professional growth here is designed, not left to chance, and a willingness to engage in ongoing coaching and professional learning will be highly regarded. An understanding of differentiation to meet diverse student needs is valued, along with proficiency in using assessment to inform progress, provide feedback and guide planning.
