The Role
Yarralinka PS is a thriving and rapidly growing public school where passionate educators have the opportunity to make a genuine and lasting impact. As a relatively new school, our systems, culture and reputation have been intentionally built around one clear purpose – ensuring every student achieves success through outstanding teaching and strong relationships.
Joining Yarralinka PS means becoming part of a supportive, ambitious and highly collaborative team that values continuous improvement, innovation and shared success. Our staff are committed to learning from one another through coaching, mentoring, collaborative planning and reflective practice, creating an environment where teachers are supported to continually grow and develop their expertise.
We are a school that believes consistency matters. Our commitment to low-variance teaching ensures every student experiences high-quality instruction regardless of their classroom. Staff work together to implement agreed whole-school approaches that maximise student outcomes, including Talk for Writing, Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) lesson models, daily reviews, Spelling Mastery and a problem-solving approach to Mathematics. These evidence-informed practices are embedded within a collaborative, data-driven plan–teach–assess cycle, enabling teachers to refine their practice and make informed decisions that improve student learning.
At Yarralinka PS, you won't be expected to work in isolation. You will be part of a strong Professional Learning Community where collaboration is embedded into the way we work. Teachers regularly engage in collaborative planning, moderation, lesson design, data analysis, coaching and professional learning to continually strengthen teaching practice and improve outcomes for every student. We have high expectations of ourselves and each other, believing that every child can achieve at high levels when provided with excellent teaching.
Teaching at Yarralinka PS also provides exciting opportunities that are unique to a growing school. Staff have genuine opportunities to influence whole-school improvement, contribute to innovative practices, develop leadership capability and help shape the future direction of our school. Whether you are an early career teacher looking for strong support or an experienced educator seeking new challenges and leadership opportunities, Yarralinka PS offers an environment where you can thrive professionally.
We are ideally seeking enthusiastic, reflective and relational educators who genuinely enjoy working with others and are committed to making a positive difference. Suitable applicants should value building strong partnerships with students, families and colleagues, embrace feedback and continuous improvement, and bring a positive, flexible and solution-focused mindset to their work. Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to contribute beyond your own classroom are highly valued.
If you are looking for a school where collaboration is authentic, professional growth is prioritised, leadership is shared, and every member of staff is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for students, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Yarralinka PS community.
