We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Education Support for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School

Peel Language Development School (PLDS) is an Independent Public School which opened on 4 February 2002. It is the first purpose-built facility for early language intervention in Western Australia. The concept of a 'school within a school’ is unique within the educational landscape of Western Australia. In 2012, PLDS further enhanced its scope with the incorporation of the Statewide Speech and Language Service (SWSLS). Fostering close co-operation and collaboration between the school and its communities provides opportunities for inclusive planning and the delivery of this unique concept.

PLDS accepts students from our specific catchment area within the Peel Region and is located across four sites where we share facilities with co-located primary schools enabling PLDS students and their families to integrate with our host school communities. Suitable applicants from this pool may be required to work at any one of the Peel campuses currently located at Mandurah Primary School, Bungaree Primary School, Pinjarra Primary School and Rockingham Lakes Primary School.

The Role

PLDS provides a specialised early intervention program for students who have a diagnosed Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). PLDS has a strong focus on developing language and literacy skills within the West Australian Curriculum. Our educators are committed to providing specialised language and academic intervention on a whole class, individual and small group basis.

PLDS employs highly motivated and dedicated professionals who are committed to working in a cooperative team environment. Teachers, Education Assistants and Speech Pathologists work within a highly collaborative model to develop and deliver specialised programs for students.
