We are seeking to establish a pool of Student Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Suitable applicants will ideally contribute to the delivery of effective student support services across a range of areas within the College by assisting with administrative processes and providing information and support to students, staff and parents. Working under direction, you would collaborate with staff, families and external agencies to promote student wellbeing, attendance, engagement and positive learning outcomes.

Appointments may be made to a range of Student Support Officer positions across the College, including the Wellbeing Centre, Year Group teams and our Specialist Autism Learning Programme (SALP) and TLC Learning Support Centre, based on operational requirements and the suitable applicants skills, experience and strengths.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you would provide proactive and responsive support for students while working collaboratively with teaching staff, school leaders, families and external agencies. Depending on the position, you may assist with student wellbeing and behaviour, attendance and engagement strategies, disability and learning support, case management, targeted intervention programs, critical incident responses and the implementation of individual student support plans.

You should participate in multidisciplinary meetings, maintain accurate records in accordance with Departmental policies and legislative requirements, and develop positive working relationships with students, families, community agencies and external service providers. You may also assist with special projects and other student support initiatives as required.

Suitable applicants will ideally display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound judgement, initiative, together with the ability to build positive relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds. You should be well organised, able to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work both independently and collaboratively as part of a professional team committed to improving student outcomes.
