The Role
The Senior Policy and Governance Officer coordinates the development, implementation and continuous improvement of complex projects to achieve outcomes to support the implementation of the Registration Standards 2025 and the Vocational Education and Training (General) Regulations 2009.

Using your expertise in interpreting legislation, you will work with the Manager Risk and Information and across the Secretariat, to improve the effective and efficient functioning of the Training Accreditation Council’s Quality Management System, and ensure alignment of all TAC policies and data requirements with legislative requirements, the Standards for VET Regulators 2015, Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024 (PRIS Act) and other relevant standards and frameworks.

Key projects this position will be working on include the TAC quality system, development and review of policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure regulatory requirements are met and the monitoring and review of TAC regulatory tools and responses for the implementation of the Registration Standards 2025.
