About the Opportunity

Are you experienced in accounts payable and/or receivable and looking for an opportunity to contribute to financial operations across a busy government environment?

The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Senior Accounting Services Officer to join the Accounting Operations Branch for a period of 6 months.

In this role, you will help coordinate the daily operation of DTMI’s payables and/or receivables systems, supporting accurate financial processing, compliance and reporting. You will work with a range of stakeholders, respond to enquiries, investigate transactions, maintain registers and assist with end-of-month and end-of-financial-year activities.

There is currently one (1) fixed term full-time opportunity available for immediate filling for a period of six (6) months, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

The successful applicant or applicants assessed as suitable through this process may receive further offers of employment, fixed term or permanent, in this or similar roles for a period of twelve (12) months from date of first appointment.

Special requirements

  • A current national police clearance certificate incorporating criminal and traffic convictions and infringements is required for this position.
