About us

The Department of Treasury and Finance is at the centre of Government decision-making. As the principal economic and financial advisor, we provide leadership and strategic advice and influence to support the delivery of services and outcomes for the benefit of Western Australia.

What we do is integral to the Government’s decision-making processes about where and how to spend taxpayer’s money to ensure Western Australians have access to quality services on a financially sustainable basis.

We lead procurement and leverage our buying power to secure products and services for government, achieving value for money for WA.

We collect revenue to fund government services and administer payment of grants and subsidies to the WA community.

The work area

This role sits within the Corporate Transformation and Strategy Directorate which is part of the Corporate Strategy and Performance Business Unit. The Business Transformation team provides change and project support across the organisation, guiding initiatives from concept through to successful delivery, and partnering closely with business areas to identify and realise improvement opportunities that drive meaningful and lasting change.

The opportunity

Are you passionate about using data to drive meaningful transformation, developing practical tools and frameworks, collaborating with stakeholders and supporting the successful delivery of change initiatives? We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join us and make a difference for Western Australia. In this role, you will:

• Conduct data analysis to inform and support business transformation initiatives.
• Contribute to the successful operationalisation of new services across or led by the Corporate Strategy and Performance Directorate.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve frameworks, tools and templates.
• Prepare high‑quality reports, insights and documentation to support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to support project delivery and change activities.
  Plan, prepare and support change management efforts for priority initiatives

We currently have one (1) permanent full-time position available for filling within the Corporate Transformation and Strategy team.
