About the Role

Tenure: There are two positions available for filling, one permanent full time and one fixed term full time.

Science and Innovation, Industry and Corporate Capability builds the State’s capacity through targeted support, fostering innovation and industry capability and ensures effective and efficient administration of DEED’s financial assistance and equity programs and business support functions.

As a part of DEED’s Science and Innovation division the Project Officer undertakes analytical research, contribute to projects delivering on the New Industries and Innovation Fund and its objectives across a number of concurrent projects. Working collaboratively as a part of a team and across other teams the successful applicant will contribute to the development, delivery and promotion of science and innovation programs and initiatives.

In late 2022, the Innovation Strategy was published (‘Western Australia – the place to innovate’), which sets out a 10-year vision, with associated goals, key action areas and an Action Plan (https://innovation.wa.gov.au). This governs what the team does.
