The Team
Service Delivery Implementation leads the design and development of targeted programs and support that are person-centric, place-based, integrated and aligned with department and wider government objectives. The teams are tasked with finding solutions, including early intervention and prevention, project design, implementation, delivery and monitoring. The following teams sit within the Service Delivery Implementation stream:

  • At Risk Youth
  • Earlier Intervention and Family Support Services
  • Target 120 Program
  • Home Stretch
  • Aboriginal Community Connectors Program

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking to create a Pool for our Target 120 Program team which is a targeted and family focussed intervention plan for children and young people most at risk of escalating criminal activity. Across government resources will be coordinated to holistically address the drivers of offending at a point far earlier than is currently possible to prevent offending behaviour.

The Roles
As Project Assistant – Level 4, you will be part of the dedicated multi-disciplinary Team needed to define and guide service and operational improvement.

This role supports the Team that is working to drive and support continuous improvement across operational areas, and in Statewide Services.

Your main duties will include:

  • Supporting the Statewide Services Project Officers and Teams, with the development and implementation of standards, processes, documentation, tools and templates for use by Project stakeholders.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with Project Teams, internal and external clients, stakeholders and customers, including coordinating external and internal Meetings, preparing Agendas, taking Minutes and distributing documents
  • Consolidating information for Reports, regarding project delivery, including milestone summaries, key issues, risks, benefits and a summary of costs incurred.

As Project Officer – Level 5, you will be responsible for assisting and providing support with specific project related tasks, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided to the Project Manager.

Your main duties will include:

  • Works collaboratively within the project team ensuring specific tasks and deadlines are met, in consultation with the relevant stakeholders on the development and implementation of projects and policies., ensuring timely and accurate information in provided to the relevant Project Manager.
  • Compiles reports for monitoring and reporting of risks associated with assigned projects and

recommends strategies to identify, investigate and analyse proposed strategies to resolve any issues identified during the planning process to the project manager.

  • Represents the Department in consultations and negotiations in relation to specific projects with relevant stakeholders while applying relevant project methodology in the monitoring of projects in terms of delivery of outcomes and achievements with regards to scope, cost and timeframes.
