Inspire young people to explore, discover and pursue exciting career pathways through hands-on learning experiences in this temporary opportunity available until 31 December 2028, with the possibility of further extension and/or permanency.

About You

Are you passionate about helping young people explore their future career pathways? As the Program Coordinator Year 9 Career Taster Program, you will coordinate and deliver engaging career exploration activities that introduce secondary school students to vocational education and training (VET) opportunities. Working closely with schools, lecturers and internal stakeholders, you will manage program planning, scheduling, student engagement activities and the development of resources that support informed career decision-making and positive student outcomes.

You will be a highly organised and collaborative professional with experience delivering programs in an education environment and a genuine commitment to supporting young people. With strong communication, planning and analytical skills, you will build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, manage competing priorities and contribute to the successful delivery of programs that promote VET pathways and future career opportunities.

There is an option to accrue an additional two weeks leave each year on top of your standard four weeks annual leave.

  • Have relevant skills and experience to meet the selection criteria and role requirements as outlined in the attached JDF.

Eligibility Requirements and Other Conditions

To be considered eligible for employment, you will:

  • Possess current and valid Australian working rights (e.g. Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or an appropriate working visa). Please note, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • Hold, or have the ability to obtain:
    • Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
    • Working With Children (WWC) Card
