THE OPPORTUNITY

The Road Safety Commission manages and administers the Road Trauma Trust Account (RTTA), a special purpose account established under the Road Safety Council Act 2002.

The RTTA reinvests 100% of road traffic infringement revenue into road safety initiatives, supporting programs and projects aligned with the State’s Driving Change Strategy. These initiatives are delivered and coordinated by the Road Safety Commission and are designed to improve road safety behaviour and “get people home to the ones they love”.

The Road Safety Commission is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Principal Financial Analyst to lead the budgeting and financial modelling and performance reporting for the Road Trauma Trust Account.

We have one (1) appointment available for 12 months with the possibility of extension and or permanency.

THE ROLE

The Principal Financial Analyst will work closely wit a wide range of stakeholders across government to support sound decision‑making and strengthen budget discipline and transparency, ensuring compliance with the Road Safety Council Act 2002, the Financial Management Act 2006, and other relevant strategies, policies and legislation.

This role provides complex financial modelling, data analysis, including interpreting quantitative and qualitative information ensuring appropriate reporting systems, cost control and budget formulation/ management systems are in place and working effectively to provide timely and accurate information for the RTTA.
