THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you an experienced leader with strong management capability and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal support services?
The Western Australia Police Force is seeking a highly capable and motivated individual to undertake the role of Practice Manager, Legal Services Division. This is an important leadership opportunity to contribute to the effective management, coordination and continuous improvement of legal support services within a complex and high-performing environment.
In this role, you will provide leadership across legal practice support functions, enabling the Division to deliver timely, professional and client-focused services. You will work closely with senior leaders, legal practitioners and corporate stakeholders to strengthen operational effectiveness, foster collaboration and support service excellence.
You will play a key role in ensuring the Legal Services Division operates efficiently and effectively through strong practice management, sound governance, workforce coordination and a focus on continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of legal services that support the operational and strategic priorities of the agency.
THE ROLE
The Practice Manager, Legal Services Division is responsible for leading and coordinating the administrative, operational and practice management functions that support the effective delivery of legal services across the Division. The role is central to ensuring systems, processes and resources are aligned to support high-quality legal practice, efficient service delivery and effective business operations.
The role provides strategic and operational oversight of practice support arrangements, including workforce coordination, business planning, resource management, performance monitoring and the development of systems and processes that promote consistency, accountability and service improvement. It also contributes to the management of priorities across the Division and supports the implementation of organisational initiatives, policies and governance requirements.
This includes maintaining effective practice management frameworks, overseeing business support services, managing stakeholder relationships and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, capability and client service outcomes. The Practice Manager is expected to exercise sound judgement, provide high-level advice and build strong working relationships across the agency to support the Legal Services Division in meeting its operational and strategic objectives.
