We are DevelopmentWA - Western Australia’s land development agency, working on industrial, commercial, and residential projects.  Our work is diverse and state-wide, developing land for sustainable communities, prosperous industries and resilient regions.

Our Planning team, empowered by the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority Act 2011, oversees the redevelopment and planning of underutilised land into vibrant, inclusive places aligned with state government priorities. Through innovative planning frameworks, cross-government collaboration, and a commitment to high-quality outcomes, we drive sustainable urban transformation and support DevelopmentWA’s mission of delivering exceptional places.

Our portfolio includes some of WA’s most iconic residential, commercial and industrial projects, including include Elizabeth Quay, Perth City Link, Bayswater and High Wycombe METRONET Station precincts, Subi East redevelopment and the Wungong Urban Water sustainable residential community.

Recent major development applications and strategic planning projects include:

  • ECU City Campus
  • One Oval Subiaco East 36 Storey Mixed Use Development
  • St John of God Midland Private Hospital
  • Housing Australia funded affordable and social housing developments
  • Bentley Redevelopment Scheme and Master Plan
  • METRONET East High Wycombe Precinct Structure Plan and Design Guidelines

While most of our planning work occurs in the Central Perth, Armadale, METRONET East, Subiaco and Bentley redevelopment areas established under the MRA Act, our Planning team also provides advice and services across DevelopmentWA’s diverse statewide development portfolio.

We are committed to innovation and sustainability across all our operations, including a plan to transition to net zero ‘scope 1 and 2’ emissions by 2025.

At DevelopmentWA our vision is “Shaping our State’s Future”, and that’s exactly what you’ll be doing by joining the team at DevelopmentWA.
