This is a Permanent Full Time Position at 76 hrs per fortnight

Position Profile: The Nurse Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient operational management of Gnowangerup Hospital including care, assessment, planning, case management and delivery of health care to complex clients. Also provides a specialist clinical consultant and educational service to clients, carers and primary health care providers.

The occupant of this position is required to demonstrate a positive commitment to modelling our organisational values, safety and quality improvement and the Code of Conduct in all aspects of their employment. Compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, standards and legislation including Confidentiality and Work Health and Safety policies is mandatory.

Clinical Leadership and Expertise

Provides visible clinical leadership within a rural health service environment, using advanced nursing expertise and sound professional judgement to support safe, consumer-centred care, manage complex clinical situations and lead service improvements across acute, emergency and residential aged care settings.

Operational and Resource Management

Leads and manages hospital operations by effectively planning, prioritising and coordinating workforce, financial, equipment and service resources to achieve quality patient outcomes, operational performance targets and sustainable service delivery.

People Leadership and Workforce Capability

Builds a positive and accountable team culture through effective people leadership, communication and relationship management, including developing staff capability, managing performance, resolving conflict and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration.

Governance and Service Improvement

Applies contemporary clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management principles to monitor performance, manage incidents and complaints, ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards, and drive continuous improvement in patient care and organisational outcomes.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

Utilises digital systems, clinical information and performance data to support decision-making, operational reporting, service planning and effective communication across a geographically dispersed rural health service.
