This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent, Fixed Term, and Casual positions working Part-Time and Full-Time hours. Fixed Term appointments have the possibility of extension and/or permanency. This Recruitment Pool will be used to fill vacancies across the Royal Perth Bentley Mount Lawley Group.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31st December 2026.
About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking to appoint dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to Medical Workforce Support Officer positions. These roles are primarily based at the Mount Lawley Hospital with the possibility of work at the Royal Perth Hospital and Bentley Hospital. In this role, the successful applicant/s will coordinate and undertake the administrative and secretarial functions of the Medical Workforce Team whilst providing a high degree of administrative support and assistance to the Senior Medical Workforce Officers, Medical Workforce Officers, and Medical Workforce Manager. Key duties include, but are not limited to;
- Enters updates and maintains accurate Medical Practitioner details in relevant medical administration databases e.g. JMO Database, Consultants Data Base, WebPAS, email distribution lists and relevant payroll system (HRIS).
- Responsible for ensuring Medical Practitioners working with children check clearance, criminal record screening clearance, relevant Medicare provider numbers and computer access is received prior to their start date.
- Provides administrative support with regard to the recruitment, appointment and separation of medical staff.
- Performs duties in accordance with Government, WA Health, East Metropolitan Health Service and Departmental / Program specific policies and procedures.
