About the role
Leads the planning and delivery of major events for South Metropolitan TAFE (SM TAFE), including Ministerial visits and high-profile stakeholder engagements, and champions brand governance across the organisation.

The role ensures events are professional, strategically aligned and effectively delivered in line with organisational priorities, and are promoted across relevant communication channels. The role operates in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to manage competing priorities, negotiate tight timeframes, coordinate diverse stakeholders and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.

Acts as the central point of expertise for the SM TAFE brand, supporting consistent and high-quality application across visual identity, tone of voice, and communications.

Working within the Marketing and Communications function, the role provides practical advice and support to stakeholders, contributes to media and communication activities, and supports the development of team capability across events, brand and communications.

This role requires a highly skilled marketing and communications professional with strong experience in leading and delivering large-scale events and stakeholder engagements from planning through to evaluation. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in brand governance, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop engaging content across multiple channels. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role also requires proven leadership skills to guide and support team members, combined with strong organisational and project coordination abilities to deliver outcomes effectively within tight timeframes.
