Our vacancy 

In the role of Manager Communications and Marketing, you will lead the development and delivery of strategic communications and marketing initiatives for the State Library to promote its strategic priorities, brand and diverse offering of services, resources, programs and events. You will forge and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and build new audiences for the State Library.

There is currently one fixed term vacancy for immediate filling, from 15 September 2026 to 31 August 2027, with possibility of extension and/or permanency.

To succeed in this role, you will be a strategic communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation, ensuring communications and marketing strategies are aligned with the State Library’s business objectives. You will lead engagement with key external stakeholders, including government and media, while serving as the custodian of the State Library’s brand and reputation.

Future Vacancies 

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the State Library of WA which arise within 12 months of the recruitment process being endorsed.
