We are seeking experienced and passionate Lecturers in Counselling to deliver high-quality training and support the next generation of Counselling professionals.
We are establishing a 12 month appointment pool for vacancies that may arise. We may offer permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Counselling professional to join our team as a Lecturer, delivering high-quality training and assessment to students in this growing field.
In this rewarding role, you will facilitate learning, assess student progress and mentor students to help them achieve their career goals. You will also contribute to curriculum delivery and continuous improvement while maintaining current industry knowledge through ongoing professional development.

Relevant Qualification and Experience
To be eligible for employment you must hold qualifications in Counselling and have at least 5 years industry experience.
There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Registration Standards 2025 (2025 Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024).
Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply, however North Metro TAFE will require the successful candidate to be enrolled, and have commenced training in, an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable the credential to be completed within two years from commencement.
