About the opportunity
The lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements.  Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery.  In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.

Relevant qualification and experience
To be eligible for employment applicants must hold a Trade Certificate - Cert III in Automotive Light Vehicle Technology or Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent and have a minimum of 5 years working in the area of expertise.

There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Registration Standards 2025 (2025 Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required are:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110), or
  • A secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024).

If you do not hold the minimum qualification under the 2025 Standards, we will support you to obtain it! You will need to enrol when you start with us and complete your qualification within two years from your start date.
