The Office of Information Management (OIM) is responsible for information management and related information and communication technology (IT) to enable the Department to achieve its strategic, tactical and operational goals through the right IT governance and correct information and technology controls.
We currently have an opportunity for an IT Governance and Policy Officer to join our team.
Under general direction, the IT Governance and Policy Officer:
- Provides secretarial support to the Chief Information Officer to manage the department’s Information and related Technology (IT) governance, committees and branch operations.
- Conducts research and analysis to prepare executive communications and reports.
- Coordinates review of key IT governance documents in a planned, organised and timely manner.

Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following three (3) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total.
- Experience supporting governance processes, committees and / or executive functions, including identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes or ways of working.
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyse information, develop new policies and procedures, maintain and review existing documents and provide practical recommendations in a complex work environment.
- Knowledge of IT governance, risk, compliance, quality management, information security or IT service management practices.
